Dealers generate good local jobs and significant tax revenues and deliver a huge impact for the Utah economy.
Local dealers buy vehicles from manufacturers which reduces fiscal risk for car makers and allows them them focus on what they do best, i.e. making cars. Meanwhile when the dealer sells those vehicles locally, the sales taxes stay here in the state of Utah. And all this helps local dealers hire local people and offer steady work for good wages. Bottom line? When times are tough, a multinational giant can close a local retail outlet and move on but local dealers are tied to the community and will be there for consumers in both good economic times and bad.
The safety, health and well-being of our members and community is of utmost importance. The New Car Dealers of Utah is working with local organizations, and government to provide updated information on the COVID-19 pandemic.
